To the brave and honorable people of Iran, fellow compatriots.
Our sacred and beloved homeland, Iran, proud and a cradle of civilization, has once again become the target of criminal military aggression by the United States and the Zionist regime.
This morning, near the Nowruz festival and on the tenth day of the holy month of Ramadan, the United States and the Zionist regime severely violated Iran's territorial integrity and national sovereignty by attacking defense targets and infrastructure, as well as civilian locations in several cities across the country.
This repeated military aggression by the United States and the Zionist regime against Iran occurred while Iran and the US were engaged in diplomatic processes. Although we are confident about the intentions behind this new aggression, to reaffirm to the international community and countries worldwide, we have resumed negotiations to demonstrate the legitimacy of the Iranian people and show that no legitimate justification exists for this aggression.
At present, the Iranian people can take pride in having done everything necessary to avoid war. Now is the time to defend the homeland and confront the military aggression of the enemy. Just as we are ready for dialogue, we are more prepared than ever for defense. The armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran will decisively respond to the aggressors.
The air attacks by the Zionist regime and the United States against Iran constitute a violation of paragraph 4 of Article 2 of the United Nations Charter and represent a clear armed aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Iran’s response to this aggression is a legal and legitimate right under Article 51 of the United Nations Charter. The armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran will utilize all capabilities and resources to confront and end the criminal acts of the enemy.
