Trump Posts Confirmation of Death of Irans Supreme Leader

On 28 Feb 2026 GMT+7, Donald Trump, former President of the United States, announced via Truth Social that Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran, has died following a joint U.S.-Israeli airstrike in Iran on Saturday morning.

Trump's statement said, “Khamenei, one of the most evil figures in history, has died. This is not only justice for the Iranian people but also for all great Americans and many others worldwide who were killed or disabled by Khamenei and his bloodthirsty gang of thugs. He could not escape our advanced intelligence and tracking systems, and through close cooperation with Israel, nothing he or the other leaders killed alongside him could do.”

“This is the greatest opportunity for the Iranian people to reclaim their country. We have reports that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the army, and many security and police forces no longer want to fight and are seeking protection from us. As I said last night, ‘They can now receive protection, but later they will only face death!’”

“I hope the IRGC and police peacefully unite with patriotic Iranians and work together as one to restore the country to the greatness it deserves. This process should begin soon, as not only has Khamenei died, but the country has been severely damaged and almost erased within just one day. However, heavy and precise bombings will continue relentlessly throughout the week, or as long as necessary, to achieve our goal of true peace in the Middle East and worldwide!”

“Thank you for your attention on this matter. President Donald J. Trump,” the U.S. leader concluded his message.
