Iranian media reveal that the death toll after an attack on an all-girls primary school in a southern province by the United States and Israel last Saturday has risen to at least 108.
The Iranian government’s IRIB news agency, citing information from the Minab city prosecutor, reported that the number of female students killed in the attack by the United States and Israel at the all-girls primary school in southern Iran has increased to at least 108.
IRIB added that the local governor has declared Sunday a public day of mourning across Hormozgan province, where Minab is located. A video released by IRIB showed at least eight wrapped bodies of the deceased lying on the floor of a building after the attack.
In a separate incident in Lamerd province in the south, the official Iranian IRNA news agency, citing the local governor, reported that at least 18 civilians were killed in a U.S. and Israeli strike targeting a sports center and residential area.
Health officials told IRNA that most of the fatalities in Lamerd were children, and approximately 100 people were injured in the attack.
