Iranian Drone Attack Damages Dubai Airport in UAE, Injures Officials

The United Arab Emirates revealed that Dubai International Airport was damaged in an Iranian drone attack, with four officials injured.

Dubai Airport management stated that part of the aircraft docking area at Dubai International Airport (DXB) was damaged on Sunday morning following an Iranian drone attack.

Four officials were injured but received prompt medical treatment. Prior to this, most passengers had been evacuated from the terminals since Saturday as a precaution, following a temporary airport closure order.

Verified social media videos showed smoke filling the passenger terminal while dozens of airline staff calmly evacuated the area. Local witnesses reported seeing multiple ambulances rushing to the airport immediately after the incident.

The UAE Ministry of Defense stated that since the Iranian attacks began on Saturday, 195 drones have been intercepted.

However, fourteen drones crashed inside UAE territory, causing some collateral damage, although no additional fatalities have been reported.

Dubai International Airport is one of the world’s busiest airports and a major aviation hub in the Middle East. This incident is likely to have widespread impacts on international travel.
