Trump and Irans Top Leaders Exchange Threats, Warning of Unprecedented Military Power

The situation has intensified after U.S. President Donald Trump issued a harsh warning to Iran, while senior Iranian leaders announced they would continue to retaliate against the U.S. and Israel.

Donald Trump, the U.S. leader, posted on the Truth Social platform on Sunday, warning Iran not to carry out further retaliation following Iran's recent announcement of heavy attacks planned for today. He emphasized in capital letters, "They should not do that, because if they do, we will strike with a power the likes of which no one has ever seen before!"

This statement reflects the White House's tough stance and may signal the possibility of escalating military force if Iran continues its retaliation.

On Iran’s side, Ali Larijani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council and one of the country's most influential figures, vowed that Iran would retaliate against the U.S. following the attack that killed Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's close associate. Larijani said, "The Americans have stabbed the heart of the Iranian people, and we will repay them by stabbing them in the heart." He affirmed that Iran's armed forces' response would be even more severe and warned that they must understand that once they attack, they cannot escape unscathed.

Larijani, regarded as a senior policymaker and a key advisor to Khamenei, also stated that Iran would establish a temporary leadership structure consisting of the president and the head of the judiciary to govern the country during this critical period.

Meanwhile, he emphasized that Iran does not seek war with other countries in the region but will continue attacking American military bases in the Middle East. He said it is necessary to make it clear repeatedly that America cannot bully the Iranian people.

The open threats exchanged between Donald Trump and Iran's senior leaders reflect the risk that the conflict could escalate into a full-scale military confrontation, especially as both sides have clearly declared they will not back down.

Analysts believe that if additional attacks on U.S. bases in the Middle East occur or if the U.S. decides to use the unprecedented force threatened by Trump, the region could face significant instability affecting global security, energy supplies, and the world economy.
