Israeli media report that the Israeli Air Force killed a total of 30 senior Iranian officials, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, within the first 30 seconds of the initial wave of attacks that occurred yesterday.
Israel's Channel 12 television stated that the killing of Iran's supreme leader happened in just half a minute during the large-scale opening attack against Iran. Meanwhile, website N12 reported that Israeli political and security officials emphasized that this operation has just begun and may continue for several more days.
Several Israeli media outlets also highlighted the meticulous planning and close cooperation between the Israeli military and the United States, as well as the precise intelligence used in this operation.
However, security analyst Yoav Limor from the Israel Hayom newspaper warned that differences could emerge between the United States and Israel moving forward. He pointed out that Israel is prepared for a prolonged war lasting weeks or longer, but it remains unclear whether President Donald Trump will have the same level of patience.
Senior journalist Nahum Barnea of Yedioth Ahronoth commented that for the United States, this may be a war of choice, but for Israel, it is a necessary war. Although Trump currently shows full support for Israel, there are warnings that U.S. public opinion could change if the war drags on or expands.
