Donald Trump revealed that the U.S. military has destroyed nine Iranian warships and several naval bases, while the U.S. Central Command stated that the IRGC headquarters had been destroyed.
On 1 Mar 2026, U.S. President Donald Trump posted on Truth Social that the United States had sunk nine Iranian Navy warships and "destroyed" nearly all of Iran's naval command centers.
“I have just been informed that we have destroyed and sunk nine Iranian warships, some of which were large and quite significant. We are dealing with the rest—they will soon be resting at the bottom of the sea as well!”
“In another strike, we have destroyed almost all of their naval command centers,” Trump's post said, adding sarcastically, “Apart from that, their navy is still doing very well!”
Meanwhile, the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced it had destroyed the command center of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
“America owns the most powerful military in the world, and the IRGC no longer has a command center,” CENTCOM stated. “The IRGC has killed more than 1,000 Americans over the past 47 years. Yesterday, the U.S.'s major strike took care of the ‘head of the snake’.”
