The Israeli Embassy in Thailand clarified that Operation Lion's Roar, conducted jointly with the United States against Iran, has a clear objective: to eliminate the threat posed by Iran's nuclear weapons development.
The Embassy of Israel in Thailand issued a document explaining Israel's purpose in cooperating with the U.S. in the latest attack on Iran, stating the following:
Israel is currently confronting the regime of Ayatollah Khamenei in Iran, which has been ongoing.
Israel's clear objective is to eliminate the threat from Iran, including Iran's intent to develop nuclear weapons, its rapidly expanding long-range missile program, and its support for proxy terrorist groups throughout the Middle East. Additionally, Israel offers the Iranian people an alternative to determine their own future free from a regime that openly declares its intent to destroy Israel.
Israel has concluded that despite the risks, failure to take decisive action will lead to even greater danger: Iran will achieve maximum nuclear and missile capabilities, making these threats impossible to neutralize. Iran has systematically relocated key nuclear program elements and missile production infrastructure underground to protect them from destruction.
Israel is coordinating closely with the United States and has launched "Operation Lion's Roar" to degrade Iran's capabilities that continuously threaten Israel. The military targets include Iran's nuclear program, missile infrastructure, and components of its military industry.
For decades, Iran has openly called for the elimination of Israel and has taken various steps to achieve that goal, including developing nuclear weapon capabilities, accelerating missile programs, and funding and directing terrorist networks across the region. Israel, together with the United States, decided on this operation to eliminate these threats and protect its citizens' security.
Iran's ongoing attacks on multiple countries throughout the Middle East underscore its aggressive stance and significant role in destabilizing regional security.
Regarding Thai workers, Israel places the highest priority on their safety and well-being. It supports and implements systems to ensure Thai workers feel secure, including a Thai-language emergency hotline, immediate alert messages, and safety guidance sent directly to mobile phones in Thai. Instructional videos on how to respond to warning signals and emergencies are also distributed. The Population and Immigration Authority and the Israeli Ministry of Labor maintain close, continuous coordination with the Royal Thai Embassy in Israel to ensure timely information exchange and full cooperation among relevant agencies.
Israel is committed to doing everything possible to protect Thai workers’ safety, considering this responsibility a top priority.
