The US military has announced that it has struck over 1,700 targets in Iran, while the death toll in Iran has risen to 787, including 176 female students.
On 3 Mar 2026 GMT+7, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) released a briefing document providing further details about the "Epic Fury" operation against Iran, which began last Saturday.
The report stated that since last Sunday, the US military has struck approximately 700 additional targets in Iran, bringing the total number of targets hit to at least 1,700. The operation has incorporated bombers and new-generation fighter jets.
The targeted sites include missile launch bases, warships, submarines, and various command centers. CENTCOM emphasized that they prioritized "the most urgent threat targets" first.
Earlier, Iran's Red Crescent Society reported that US and Israeli attacks over recent days have caused 787 deaths, including 176 female students who died after their school in Minab was hit last Saturday.
Fatemeh Mohammadbeigi, a member of Iran's parliamentary Public Health Commission, said on Monday that nine hospitals in Iran have been targeted in attacks. She accused Israel and the US of deliberately aiming at these medical facilities.
In response, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) denied the allegation of attacking Gandhi Hospital in Tehran, stating the hospital was not the intended target. CENTCOM has yet to comment on this matter.
However, Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs accused both Israel and the US of jointly targeting this hospital.
