Thousands of Iranians Mourn Students Killed in School Attack

Thousands of Iranians took to the streets to mourn the loss caused by an attack on a school in southern Iran allegedly carried out by the United States and Israel, resulting in over 160 deaths.

A funeral was held to honor the students and victims of the US and Israeli attacks on schools in Minab city, located in southern Iran, where more than 160 people died.

Reporters said about 1,000 Iranians marched to express their condolences and respect for the loss, carrying the bodies of the deceased wrapped in coffins draped with the Iranian national flag through crowds who prayed as they passed.

This memorial event took place on 4 March 2026 at the central square of Minab city. Participants interviewed described the loss of over 160 innocent lives at once not as the aid President Trump had previously mentioned, but as a cold-blooded crime.

The Iranian president declared the school attack to be extremely brutal, calling it one of many repeated crimes committed by violent actors.

The United States responded by denying any intent to target civilians or schools, emphasizing their commitment to protecting innocent civilians domestically and promising to review and minimize harm to civilians in the future.
