The average gasoline price in the United States instantly rose by 11 cents per gallon overnight amid the escalating war in the Middle East.
Data from the American Automobile Association (AAA) indicates that the average price for regular gasoline in the US is $3.11 per gallon, causing widespread concern among consumers.
Although oil prices had been rising earlier due to refineries gradually switching to summer fuel blends, crude oil prices have recently surged sharply as a result of the war's impact.
In Jackson, Mississippi, Anne Dalski revealed that she had to pay $15 more than usual to fill her gas tank on Tuesday, which she believes will affect every aspect of life. She said she never expected such a situation to occur.
Meanwhile, in Burlington, Massachusetts, prices at some gas stations have approached $4 per gallon.
Erin Kelly stated that fuel prices have risen significantly, and she is now paying over $5 per gallon for premium gasoline. She noted that everyone already faces higher grocery expenses, so having to pay more for fuel is a serious concern.
The rising energy prices directly reflect the effects of the Middle East conflict, which could broadly impact the cost of living for the public.
