American Netizens and Former South Park Writer Demand US President Send His Son to Fight in Middle East

American netizens, along with a former writer of the animated series South Park, have jointly pushed a campaign demanding that US President Donald Trump send his son, Barron Trump, to fight on the front lines in the Middle East after American soldiers died in the conflict with Iran.

The escalating conflict in the Middle East has reached a state of war between the US-Israel alliance and Iran under the US’s "Operation Epic Fury," resulting in the first American military casualties on the battlefield. This has raised questions about the fairness of sending middle-class children to sacrifice their lives in wars started by leaders, prompting calls for President Donald Trump to send his youngest son, Barron Trump, to join the military and fight in the Middle East.

This wave of dissatisfaction arose after the names of four American soldiers who died in an Iranian attack while stationed in Kuwait were revealed. US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth addressed the American public, confirming that these soldiers died from attacks by Iranian forces.

President Donald Trump commented on the incident, indicating that further losses might occur, which sparked heavy criticism on social media. The hashtag #SendBarron, created to demand that President Donald Trump take responsibility by sending his 19-year-old son Barron Trump to the front lines, became the top trending topic on the platform X.

Meanwhile, Senator Chris Murphy, a Democratic member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, reinforced this call during an appearance on CBS's "Face the Nation," stating that this war is likely to become a quagmire that will claim the lives of many American soldiers. Murphy pointed out that those who will die in this war will not be the children of wealthy figures like Donald Trump but rather the children of middle-class and poor families nationwide, who become pawns in the political games of leaders.

Former writer of the political satire animated series "South Park," Toby Morton, launched a websiteDraftBarronTrump.comto support the movement urging Donald Trump’s youngest son to be drafted into military service.

Meanwhile, Barron Trump's health has come under scrutiny, with speculation that he may be exempt from the draft due to medical restrictions, as he stands 6 feet 9 inches (approximately 206 centimeters) tall. This height exceeds the standards set by the US Army, Navy, and Air Force, which cap height at 6 feet 8 inches, and the Marine Corps, which limits it to 6 feet 6 inches, due to the confined spaces inside tactical vehicles such as tanks, cockpits, or submarines.

If Barron Trump is indeed exempt from the draft, he would not be the first in the Trump family to avoid military service. In the past, Donald Trump was diagnosed with "heel spur," which exempted him from the draft during the Vietnam War era.

It has been reported that Dr. Larry Bronstein, a foot specialist in Queens who passed away in 2007, issued the medical certificate as a favor to Fred Trump, Donald Trump's father, who owned the building where Dr. Bronstein rented his office.

Dr. Bronstein’s daughter told The New York Times that the family story holds that her father helped the Trump family in exchange for access to influential people like Fred Trump. Prior to receiving the medical exemption, Donald Trump had requested draft deferments four times to continue his education.

Trump has insisted he never underwent surgery to treat the heel spur but instead relied on physical therapy and special shoe inserts.
