The IAEA revealed that the latest satellite images show no direct damage to Iran's nuclear plant despite heavy attacks, and no signs of radioactive leakage risk were detected.
On 4 Mar 2026 GMT+7, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) stated that analysis of the latest satellite images found no damage to buildings storing nuclear material and no signs of radioactive leakage risk at Iran's nuclear power plant at this time.
The IAEA posted on social media that while damage was found to two buildings near the Isfahan nuclear center, and earlier partial damage was confirmed at the uranium enrichment plant in Natanz, no additional impacts were detected and no damage was found at other nuclear sites, including the Bushehr nuclear power plant.
IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi emphasized the utmost importance of maintaining nuclear safety and security in the region amid ongoing military conflict. The agency also stated it has been in close contact with nuclear safety regulators in the Middle East continuously and so far has not detected any elevated radiation levels.
Meanwhile, nuclear power plants in the United Arab Emirates, as well as research reactors in Jordan and Syria, continue normal operations. Previously, the IAEA confirmed partial damage at the Natanz fuel enrichment plant following a major military attack on Iran by the United States and Israel over the past weekend.
