A public opinion survey in Israel shows the majority of the population supports military operations against Iran, while confidence in Prime Minister Netanyahu has increased.
On 5 Mar 2026 GMT+7, Israel's National Security Institute released a public opinion survey indicating that over 80% of Israelis support military strikes against Iran amid escalating Middle East tensions.
The National Security Institute, Israel's security think tank, conducted the survey on Sunday and Monday with approximately 950 respondents. The results showed that 80.5% of participants support military operations against Iran, while 13.5% oppose the attacks.
Furthermore, when asked about the direction of military action, 63% believed operations should continue until Iran's government is overthrown, whereas 15% favored pushing for an immediate ceasefire.
The survey also indicated that public confidence in Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has risen by 4% compared to previous polling results.
