Iran War Day 7: Israel Bombards Suburbs of Beirut, Lebanon Civilians Flee in Chaos, At Least 123 Dead

On the seventh day of the Iran conflict, the Israeli military launched attacks on Beirut, Lebanon, following urgent evacuation warnings to civilians. The death toll has risen to 123.

On 6 March 2026, the Middle East war between the US, Israel, and Iran entered its seventh day after Israel declared it was moving into the "next phase" of its military operations, initiating airstrikes on the southern suburbs of Beirut, Lebanon.

Before the attack, the Israeli military issued an unprecedented large-scale evacuation order, urging local residents to leave immediately to save their lives. This caused widespread panic as many fled their homes, leading to heavy traffic jams on main roads. Some even fired guns into the air to warn others to evacuate. Lebanese authorities reported that since the clashes began, at least 123 people have died, 683 were injured, and over 90,000 civilians have been displaced.

The conflict escalated when Hezbollah, an armed group allied with Iran, launched attacks on Israel in retaliation for the assassination of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Israel responded with airstrikes and deployed ground forces into certain border areas of Lebanon.
