Los Angeles police arrested a 30-year-old woman after she fired more than 10 shots at the residence of superstar Rihanna, with bullets piercing the mansion's walls. At the time, Rihanna was inside the home with her family, and fortunately, no one was hurt.
The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) confirmed the alarming incident at Rihanna's luxury mansion in Beverly Hills. Authorities received a shooting report at approximately 13:15 local time on Sunday, 8 Mar 2025 GMT+7, and subsequently tracked down and arrested the suspect.
Police reports state the suspect, a woman around 30 years old, parked opposite the mansion and used an assault rifle to fire about 10 rounds into the singer's property. Witnesses said they saw her fire approximately seven consecutive shots before fleeing quickly by car.
Aerial images show multiple bullet marks on the front gate, while local news station KTLA reported that at least one bullet penetrated the wall inside the house. Sources confirmed to the media that Rihanna was inside the mansion at the time, where she lives with her husband A$AP Rocky and their children. However, there were no injuries reported from the incident.
Shortly after, authorities tracked the suspect's vehicle about 12 kilometers from Rihanna's home and detained the woman immediately. Her name and motive have not yet been disclosed to the public. LAPD investigators secured the mansion's perimeter to collect evidence and recover rifle shell casings at the scene.
This incident occurred after Rihanna gave birth to her third child, a daughter, in September last year. She and A$AP Rocky announced her pregnancy at the 2025 Met Gala. The couple already has two sons together, Riot and RZA.
Earlier in 2025, the couple made headlines when A$AP Rocky was sued for shooting at an old acquaintance. The court ruled him not guilty. Notably, Rihanna was seen attending the court hearing with their two sons.
