Iran has issued a new warning to citizens of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to stay away from the country's main ports after Tehran has consistently targeted UAE ports.
On 14 Mar 2026 GMT+7, Iran again warned civilians in the UAE, urging them to avoid approaching the nation's main ports, which have been the focus of Tehran's retaliatory strikes over the past two weeks.
A statement released by Iranian media linked to security agencies ordered residents in the UAE to evacuate areas around Jebel Ali port in Dubai, Khalifa port in Abu Dhabi, and Mina Al-Fujairah port in the Emirate of Fujairah.
Just hours ago, the Fujairah port was attacked with drones after Iran vowed revenge for the U.S. strike on Kharg Island, Iran’s key oil hub. Although defense systems intercepted the drones, the falling debris caused a severe fire near the port.
Ports and oil storage facilities in the UAE have been targeted by Iran's retaliatory attacks ever since the U.S. and Israel launched strikes against Iran on 28 Feb. So far, Iran's attacks have resulted in six deaths and 141 injuries in the UAE, mostly civilians.
Beyond the ports, Iran has also targeted airports, hotels, high-rise buildings, economic centers, and oil refineries in the UAE.
