
The death toll resulting from the Middle East war has risen to over 3,900, with fatalities in Iran and Lebanon increasing rapidly after severe attacks.
Foreign news agencies reported on 15 Mar 2026 that the death toll in the Middle East war has reached at least 3,900 since the U.S. and Israel began attacking Iran on 28 Feb, prompting Tehran to retaliate by striking areas in neighboring countries and closing the Strait of Hormuz.
In Iran, the Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA) in the U.S. reported Saturday that 1,319 civilians have died (including at least 206 children), along with 1,122 military personnel. Additionally, 599 deaths have yet to be classified as military or civilian.
In Lebanon, which has been heavily attacked by Israel in recent days, the Lebanese Ministry of Health stated today that at least 850 people have died since Israel began its strikes on 2 March, including 107 children.
Meanwhile, the United States has reported 13 military fatalities since the war began, with six deaths resulting from a tanker plane crash in Iraq on Thursday and another six soldiers killed in an Iranian attack on a temporary operations center in Kuwait on Sunday (8 Mar).
Israel has suffered at least 15 deaths, including nine civilians killed by missile strikes on residential buildings in Beit Shemesh and two Israeli soldiers killed in southern Lebanon on 8 Mar.
In Iraq, at least 32 deaths have been reported, including 27 from the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF). Additionally, one French soldier died in an attack on a base in the Kurdistan region of Iraq on Thursday (12 Mar).
Kuwait has reported at least six deaths, including an 11-year-old girl who died from shrapnel wounds caused by an explosion in a residential area on 4 March.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ministry of Defense stated on Tuesday that six people have died, comprising Emirati, Pakistani, Nepalese, and Bangladeshi nationals, as a result of Iranian "attacks."
In Bahrain, government media reported last week that one person died after intercepted missile debris caused a fire on a "foreign ship" at the Salman Industrial City. The Interior Ministry also reported the death of a 29-year-old Bahraini woman in Manama due to an Iranian attack.
Omani media reported that an Indian national died after an unmanned drone attacked the oil tanker he was working on, 52 nautical miles off Oman's coast. The Ministry of Defense also reported on Friday (13 Mar) that two foreigners died in a drone "crash" in the Sohar area.
In Saudi Arabia, civil defense authorities reported two deaths after unidentified military ordnance struck a residential area in Al-Kharj city on 8 March.
