Iran Attacks US-Italian Military Base in Kuwait, Warns Other Nations Against Involvement in War

Iran has issued a warning to other countries not to become involved in the war between them and the US and Israel, while reports say a military base in Kuwait, where US and Italian troops are stationed, was attacked by drones.

On Sunday, 15 Mar 2026 GMT+7, Iran warned other countries against involvement in the war between Iran, the US, and Israel, while the Italian government reported that a base in Kuwait housing US and Italian forces was attacked by drones, destroying one of their unmanned aerial vehicles.

The Tehran government sent a serious warning to neighboring countries, stating they have “solid evidence” that US bases on those countries' soil are being used as launch points for attacks.

Iran’s warning came just one day after President Donald Trump called on other countries to cooperate with the US in securing the Strait of Hormuz, a critical global oil shipping route, which has been effectively shut down due to Iran’s threats to attack any passing ship, causing turmoil in energy markets.

Later, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi posted on X that the expansion of US security influence in the region “invites more problems rather than deters them,” urging neighboring countries to “expel foreign invaders.”

“This war will end only when we are confident that the same mistakes will not be repeated and compensation is made for the damages incurred,” Araghchi told the Arabic-language news agency Al-Araby Al-Jadeed.

Meanwhile, the Italian military stated that the drone attack on Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait destroyed one Italian unmanned aerial vehicle but caused no injuries or deaths.

This marks the second time in a week that Italy’s base in the Middle East has been targeted by Iranian attacks. However, Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani sought to ease tensions by stating, “We are not at war with anyone.”

At the same time, Iraqi authorities revealed that rocket attacks targeted Baghdad airport, home to US diplomatic buildings, injuring five people.
