Leonid Radvinsky, owner of the OnlyFans website, has died at the age of just 43 after a prolonged battle with cancer.
Foreign news agencies reported on 23 Mar 2026 that Leonid Radvinsky, owner of OnlyFans, the well-known adult content website praised for revolutionizing the online pornography industry, died at the age of 43.
OnlyFans confirmed in a statement that Mr. Radvinsky passed away peacefully after a long fight with cancer and requested privacy for his family.
Radvinsky graduated in economics from Northwestern University and was last residing in Florida. Forbes magazine estimated his net worth at $4.7 billion.
Besides OnlyFans, Radvinsky invested in various technology companies through his Florida-based venture capital firm Leo.com. His website also noted charitable donations to the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
OnlyFans was founded in 2016 as a social media platform where creators can post videos and photos, charging subscribers through tips or monthly fees.
Creators share diverse content ranging from cooking to workout videos, but the platform is best known for adult media and its model supporting direct interaction between creators and fans via live streams, private messages, and custom content requests. OnlyFans takes a 20% commission on all payments.
Leonid Radvinsky, born in Ukraine and raised in Chicago, acquired OnlyFans from its two British founders in 2018. The site's popularity surged dramatically during the COVID-19 pandemic, earning him a spot on Forbes’ annual billionaire list three years later.
According to company filings, in 2024 the firm generated $1.4 billion in revenue from over £7 billion in transactions and had more than 377 million followers. That year, approximately 4.6 million creators posted content on the site.
OnlyFans was investigated by Ofcom, the UK communications regulator, in 2024 over concerns that minors could access pornographic content. The company explained this was due to technical issues.
Ultimately, Ofcom ended the investigation but fined the company about £1 million for failing to properly verify user ages, which should have been 18 or older.
In 2021, OnlyFans faced accusations of failing to manage illegal content, including child pornography, leading it to announce a ban on sexually explicit content on the platform.
However, the company quickly reversed this decision within days after strong opposition from users and adult performers.
Additionally, the company has been involved in legal disputes with users who felt deceived after discovering that chats they believed were with OnlyFans creators were actually handled by low-paid third parties. These cases remain unresolved in court.
Last year, Radvinsky considered selling OnlyFans, but the sale did not materialize.
