Israel claims its military is close to striking all "highest priority" targets in Iran at every location within the next few days, but the military spokesperson reiterated that there are still other targets remaining to be attacked.
On 29 Mar 2026 GMT+7, Naddaf Koshani, spokesperson for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), explained that the targets in Iran are divided into groups such as ballistic missiles, production facilities (weapons), nuclear sites, command and control centers, and others. Each group is further categorized into "primary targets, key targets, and additional targets."
Koshani further stated that within the next few days, "we will be able to complete the mission regarding the highest priority targets within the production facility group," adding, "That does not mean we will run out of targets to strike... but when it comes to the highest priority level as we have defined it, we will achieve that goal within a few days."
However, Koshani declined to specify an exact timeframe, citing that "operational conditions" could change.
Over the past weekend, the IDF struck two steel factories in Iran, including one known to use radioactive materials, according to the United Nations nuclear watchdog, as well as a heavy water plant in the city of Arak, a key producer of plutonium ore.
Koshani said the IDF had previously attacked this heavy water plant during a raid last June, "but intelligence has detected attempts to rebuild it."
Beyond the destruction of military targets, data from the Iranian Red Crescent Council indicates that joint US-Israel strikes in Iran have resulted in at least 1,900 deaths and caused extensive damage to civilian infrastructure, including hundreds of hospitals and schools.
