Donald Trump pointed out that Iran's power structure has been severely impacted after multiple leaders were killed. He believes there is a chance for a U.S.-Iran deal even though the situation remains uncertain.
Trump spoke to reporters aboard Air Force One, stating that Iran's original leadership structure has been nearly destroyed due to fighting throughout the past month-long conflict.
He said, "I believe we have caused a regime change, judging by what has happened, because the initial leaders were all eliminated, the next group almost entirely wiped out, and now we are dealing with a completely different set of people."
Trump also claimed that many of Iran's top leaders have been killed, leaving only a few survivors. He described the former regime as very bad and said the changes that have occurred are such a positive outcome that it cannot be better than this.
However, Trump left open the possibility of negotiations between the U.S. and Iran, expressing confidence that both sides still have a high chance of reaching a joint agreement, while acknowledging that the situation remains uncertain and talks with Iran remain unpredictable.
