Trump to Address Iran Issue Wednesday Night as Rubio Says U.S. Nears Finish Line of War

U.S. President Donald Trump will deliver a live address to the nation on Wednesday night at 9:00 p.m. local time, or 8:00 a.m. Thursday in Thailand, to update on the latest decisions regarding Iran.

Earlier, Trump said in the Oval Office that he expects the war with Iran could end within two weeks, emphasizing the possibility of reaching an agreement during that period.

Meanwhile, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio revealed that the U.S. is currently exchanging messages with Iran, and there is a possibility of a direct meeting between the leaders of the two countries in the future.

However, he stressed that Trump will not allow Iran to pretend to negotiate as a tactic to buy time.

Rubio also pointed out that the U.S. has already destroyed much of Iran's navy and air force and is effectively dismantling missile and drone manufacturing plants as well as missile launch systems within the country, meeting four key objectives. He said the finish line is visible—not today or tomorrow, but approaching—and confirmed that the U.S. military is conducting operations swiftly and efficiently.

Sources from the U.S. and the region say the Trump administration is exchanging indirect messages with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, who are believed to influence the new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei.
