On 7 April 2026, U.S. President Donald Trump posted a message on Truth Social sending a severe threat to Iran, stating, “An entire civilization will be destroyed tonight,” as the deadline he set for Iran to open the Strait of Hormuz approaches.
“An entire civilization is about to be destroyed tonight and will never be restored. I do not want this to happen, but it probably will. However, since we now have a 'complete and total regime change' with a new group of smarter people who are less extreme in power, perhaps a miraculous historic transformation might occur. Who knows?”
