Trump Reveals U.S. Plans to Assist in Managing Traffic in the Strait of Hormuz

U.S. President Donald Trump revealed that the United States is preparing to assist in managing the congestion of maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz, a crucial global oil shipping route, following a recently agreed two-week ceasefire with Iran.

Trump stated on social media that the U.S. will take a role in resolving maritime traffic issues in the Strait of Hormuz, which is a key condition of the ceasefire agreement requiring full, immediate, and safe implementation.

He expressed confidence that the situation would improve positively, adding that many positive developments and significant financial flows are expected.

The U.S. leader also said that Iran can begin its recovery process immediately, with the United States preparing to send supplies and resources to support them while monitoring the situation to ensure everything proceeds smoothly.

Trump further described this as an important day for world peace, emphasizing that Iran and all parties desire an end to the conflict.

Previously, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi revealed that maritime navigation through the Strait of Hormuz during the two-week ceasefire will be safe but must be coordinated with the Iranian military and consider technical limitations. However, it remains unclear when navigation through the Strait will resume and under what conditions.

The Strait of Hormuz is a route that transports about 20% of the world's oil. Since the start of the conflict, navigation in this area has nearly halted, impacting energy markets and the global economy. Earlier, Trump proposed a joint U.S.-Iranian control of the Strait, but Iran has not yet responded to this proposal.
