U.S. Reveals Irans Declared Peace Plan Differs from Version Received by Trump

U.S. officials revealed that the 10-point peace proposal published by Iran contains content "different" from the 10-point proposal that Donald Trump said he received from Iran.

CNN reported that when President Donald Trump announced a two-week ceasefire agreement last Tuesday, he said the U.S. had received a 10-point peace proposal from Iran and believed this plan could serve as a "practical foundation for negotiations."

However, a White House official told CNN today that the 10-point proposal Trump referred to and the 10-point proposal later released by Iran to the media differ in content.

It remains unclear what the scope and nature of these differences are, and the White House official did not provide further details.

Previously, Trump had repeatedly expressed dissatisfaction with Iran's public statements about the ceasefire agreement. For example, on Tuesday night, he ridiculed a statement from Iran's Supreme National Security Council claiming victory that forced the U.S. to accept the proposal, calling it a "fraud" and criticizing CNN for reporting it.

Later on Wednesday, Trump posted on Truth Social implying that some parts of the agreement circulating publicly were not part of the internal discussions.

"Many agreements, lists, and letters have been issued by people with no involvement whatsoever in the U.S.-Iran negotiations. In many cases, these people are fraudsters, impostors, or worse," Trump's message stated.

He added, "There is only one 'key issue' that the U.S. accepts, and we will discuss it privately during these negotiations. This is the 'key issue' that forms the basis for our ceasefire agreement. It is reasonable and manageable."

Regarding the Supreme National Security Council statement that initially angered Trump, CNN obtained it from Iranian officials. It was reported by several Iranian government media outlets and outlined key elements of Tehran's 10-point plan as follows:

- Organizing navigation through the Strait of Hormuz

- Ceasing attacks on Iran and its proxy forces in the region

- Withdrawal of U.S. troops from the region

- Payment of compensation to Iran

- Lifting international sanctions and suspending asset freezes

- Issuing a binding United Nations resolution to endorse the final peace agreement

Additionally, some widely disseminated statements by the council in both Persian and English government media also mention Iran's claims to enhance its uranium enrichment capabilities.
