Prince Harry has been sued for defamation by Sentebale, a youth aid foundation in South Africa that he co-founded.
On 10 April 2026, BBC reported that Prince Harry is being sued for defamation by the Sentebale Foundation, which he helped establish. Court documents filed on 24 March 2026 list Prince Harry as a co-defendant alongside Mark Dyer, a former trustee of the foundation. The case involves allegations of both written and spoken defamation. However, neither party has disclosed further details of the claims.
Previously, Prince Harry resigned from the foundation in 2025 along with co-founders and some board members after conflicts arose with the organization’s chairman regarding management approaches.
Subsequently, the foundation’s board conducted an investigation, concluding that all parties contributed to the disputes and criticizing the public exposure of the issues for damaging the organization’s reputation.
Sentebale operates in Botswana and Lesotho, focusing on supporting youth, especially those affected by HIV/AIDS.
