Donald Trump posted a new threat to Iran, stating that Iranian ships approaching the US blockade zone in the Strait of Hormuz will be destroyed following the US initiation of the blockade of Iranian ports.
On 13 Apr 2026 GMT+7, Donald Trump, President of the United States, posted a message on Truth Social issuing a new warning to Iran, saying the US will sink every Iranian ship that comes near the US blockade area in the Strait of Hormuz amid renewed tensions after failed negotiations in Pakistan.
“The Iranian navy has been sunk and completely destroyed, totaling 158 ships. What we have not yet attacked are a small number of vessels they call ‘fast attack boats,’ because previously we did not consider them much of a threat,” Trump’s message stated.
“Warning: If any of these ships come close to our blockade area, they will be eliminated immediately using the same lethal system we use to deal with drug traffickers’ boats at sea. It is swift and decisive.”
