Qatar has revealed that it continues to maintain ongoing contact with all parties involved in the Middle East conflict to promote negotiations and reduce tensions in the region.
On 15 April 2026, Majid Al-Ansari, spokesperson for Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that Qatar is coordinating with Lebanese authorities, emphasizing that Lebanon is a key issue not only for the region but also affecting other countries worldwide. He added that, while not disclosing further details, Qatar continues to engage with all parties involved in the Iran war and is coordinating with Pakistani officials, who managed the US-Iran negotiations over the past weekend.
Al-Ansari praised Pakistan's role, saying Qatar supports Pakistan's efforts to encourage both sides to return to the negotiation table. Pakistan confirmed it is working urgently to bring the US and Iran back to further talks after key face-to-face discussions ended last Sunday without an agreement.
