King Charles Honors Queen Elizabeth on Her 100th Birthday Anniversary

King Charles III sent a video message honoring Queen Elizabeth II on the occasion of her 100th birthday, noting that today's world might deeply concern her.

On 21 April 2026, King Charles III of the United Kingdom delivered a video address paying tribute to his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, on the 100th anniversary of her birth, stating that many events in today's world might cause her deep concern.

April 21 marks what would have been Queen Elizabeth II's 100th birthday if she were still alive. In the video message, King Charles III said this important milestone should not be remembered with a sense of loss but rather celebrated as a life lived fully and with great value.

He also spoke of numerous challenges both domestically and globally that may have worried Queen Elizabeth II, while reaffirming his own commitment to faithfully serving all people.

Reports indicate that the British royal family is scheduled to hold a reception at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday to commemorate the late queen, with many representatives from charities and organizations associated with her expected to attend. Invited groups include the UK's Cancer Research Institute, the governing body of leading British horse races, and a charity supporting British Army personnel.

Queen Elizabeth II passed away peacefully at Balmoral Castle on 8 September 2022 at the age of 96, after reigning for 70 years—one of the longest reigns in world history.
