The British Royal Palace confirmed that King Charles III's visit to the United States on Monday will proceed as scheduled, despite a recent shooting at a dinner attended by Donald Trump.
On 26 Apr 2026 GMT+7, Buckingham Palace confirmed that the official visit of King Charles III and Queen Camilla to the United States will continue as planned, despite a shooting incident at the White House Correspondents' Association dinner on Saturday night.
"After discussions throughout the day between both parties and following government advice, we confirm that the official visit of Their Majesties will proceed according to the planned schedule," the palace said in a statement ahead of the trip on Monday.
"King Charles and the Queen are deeply grateful to all officials who worked swiftly to ensure the visit can proceed as originally planned, and They both look forward to beginning the visit tomorrow," the statement added.
CNN understands there will be minor changes to one or two scheduled events, but the overall four-day visit will follow the original timetable.
