
A shocking incident occurred in Tokyo, Japan, when a 44-year-old man used a hammer as a weapon to attack teenagers, resulting in at least five injuries before fleeing the scene as police launched a manhunt.
Local media reported that the alarming event took place in Fussa City, a suburb of Tokyo, last Wednesday. The suspect assaulted two teenage boys near his residence.
Reports from NHK and Kyodo News stated that one victim suffered severe facial injuries, while another sustained minor injuries to the shoulder.
After the incident, police intervened to control the situation, but the suspect sprayed an unidentified substance at officers before escaping. This attack caused injuries to three additional police officers.
However, the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department has not yet issued an official statement regarding this case to AFP, and no further details are available at this time.
