Police reported at least 23 people injured following a shooting at a lakeside party in Oklahoma. Authorities have not yet apprehended any suspects.

International news agencies reported on 4 May 2026, citing local police disclosures, that a shooting occurred at a party by Arcadia Lake, east of Edmond city, located about 13 miles north of Oklahoma City. The event was a large gathering of working-age adults on Sunday night.

Officials stated that the incident resulted in at least 23 injuries, ranging from gunshot wounds to various other trauma. Many of the injured were transported to hospitals, while some drove themselves to medical facilities.

Police revealed the shooting took place during an "unauthorized party" at about 9:00 p.m. local time on Sunday. The event had been promoted on social media. No suspects have been arrested yet, but authorities believe there is no ongoing threat to the public.

CBS News, a U.S. affiliate of the BBC, reported that a hospital network spokesperson confirmed nine injured were treated at Integris Health Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, and three others were admitted to Integris Health Edmond hospital.

Local media reports stated that police have set up a family reunification center at a nearby Walmart to allow relatives to meet.
