Pentagon Releases Major UFO Files, Shares Videos, Images, and Documents Following Trumps Order to Disclose Alien Information

The U.S. Department of Defense has revealed previously unreleased secret files on UFOs and UAPs, gradually releasing videos, images, and documents following an order from Donald Trump.

On 8 May 2026 GMT+7, the U.S. Department of Defense, also known as the Pentagon, disclosed documents and data regarding UFOs or unidentified flying objects that had never been made public before. This followed an order earlier this year from President Donald Trump directing government agencies to begin releasing information about extraterrestrial life and mysterious phenomena in the skies.

The Pentagon stated via the X platform that the public can now access declassified secret documents related to UAPs, or "Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena," the modern term for UFOs, immediately. It specified that the latest videos, photographs, and original documents about UAPs from U.S. government agencies are all compiled in one place, with no need for security clearance.

Furthermore, the U.S. Department of Defense announced it will continue to release additional information periodically, every few weeks, as new documents are found and declassified.

Interest in extraterrestrials surged again in February after former President Barack Obama stated on a podcast that "aliens are real, but I have never seen them." He later clarified that during his presidency, he found no evidence that aliens had contacted Earth. Shortly thereafter, Trump posted on Truth Social directing the Pentagon and relevant agencies to begin the process of releasing government files concerning extraterrestrial life.

Meanwhile, Jared Isaacman, an executive at the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), praised Trump for promoting transparency to the public on UAP matters. He stated that NASA will continue to release factual information—covering what humanity already knows, what remains unexplained, and what is yet to be discovered—emphasizing that exploration and the pursuit of knowledge are central to NASA’s mission to unlock the universe’s mysteries.
