Watch as Trump Visits China with Top U.S. CEOs Including Elon Musk and Tim Cook

Trump's visit to China this week is attracting significant attention after the White House announced it would bring senior executives from major U.S. companies, including Elon Musk and Tim Cook, in a large delegation.

White House officials told the BBC that 17 U.S. executives will join Donald Trump on the trip to China. The report highlights key figures such as Elon Musk of Tesla and SpaceX, Tim Cook from Apple, and Larry Fink of BlackRock, reflecting that Trump's visit is not merely political diplomacy but also a global economic mission linking trade, energy, and technology.

In addition to Musk, Cook, and Fink, executives from several global companies are included, spanning industries from social media, hardware, chip technology, aviation, finance, to manufacturing and agriculture, such as:

  • Meta
  • Boeing
  • Visa
  • Blackstone
  • Cargill
  • Citi
  • GE Aerospace
  • Goldman Sachs
  • Illumina
  • Mastercard

Meanwhile, Chuck Robbins from Cisco was also invited but could not join the trip due to company earnings announcements.

The meeting between Donald Trump and Xi Jinping is seen as a crucial test of the trade truce agreement between the two superpowers, after previously engaging in intense tariff wars that raised some import taxes above 100%.

Although most tariff measures have been suspended since October 2025 following their last meeting in South Korea, economic and technological relations remain fragile.

Analysts view the inclusion of global CEOs on this China trip as a sign that Trump aims to garner support from the U.S. business sector to restore confidence and mitigate the impact of the bilateral conflict.

Another key issue expected to be discussed is the war involving Iran, the U.S., and Israel, which affects energy prices and global economic stability.

Reports indicate that Trump plans to pressure China, which relies on cheap oil from Iran, to help facilitate an agreement between Tehran and Washington to end the ongoing prolonged conflict.
