The U.S. Department of Defense has released new UFO documents and video clips following an order from Trump to enhance government transparency. One report states that intelligence officials spotted mysterious glowing orbs chasing fighter jets in midair.
On 22 May 2026 GMT+7, the U.S. Department of Defense, known as the Pentagon, disclosed a second batch of documents concerning Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP), as part of the PURSUE program. This follows a directive from President Donald Trump aiming to increase government disclosure about UFO phenomena.
This latest release comes after the Pentagon published the first set of documents on 8 May 2026 GMT+7. Reuters reported that the new files consist of 64 items in total, including six PDF documents, seven audio recordings, and 51 video clips.
One of the most attention-grabbing reports describes an incident in 2025 when a U.S. intelligence officer recounted seeing two large glowing orb-like objects appear in midair while aboard a helicopter.
The report details that these objects were oval-shaped, orange in color, with bright white or yellow centers emitting light in all directions. The officer then observed the same mysterious objects moving closer to a nearby fighter jet, describing that they appeared to be chasing the aircraft. The two glowing orbs formed a triangular shape before vanishing without a trace.
However, the Pentagon has yet to confirm whether this phenomenon involves foreign technology, supernatural elements, or extraterrestrial life. The U.S. government continues to use the term UAP instead of UFO to avoid direct associations with alien theories.
