Netanyahu Reveals Trump Agrees Any Deal Must Eliminate Irans Nuclear Threat

Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel's leader, revealed that Donald Trump agrees with him that any deal with Iran must completely eliminate the nuclear threat, including dismantling Iran's nuclear enrichment facilities.

On Sunday, 24 May 2026 GMT+7, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that he and U.S. President Donald Trump share the view that any final agreement with Iran must completely remove the nuclear threat posed by the Tehran government.

Netanyahu posted on the Telegram app that eliminating this threat requires dismantling Iran's nuclear enrichment facilities and removing all enriched nuclear material from Iranian territory.

An Israeli source disclosed that during a phone conversation about the impending agreement between Washington and Tehran on Saturday, Netanyahu also told Trump that Israel will maintain the freedom to conduct operations against threats in Lebanon.

The same source stated that the U.S. continuously updates Israel on the progress of negotiations with Iran.

“President Trump has clearly stated he will firmly uphold his original demands: the dismantling of Iran’s nuclear program and removal of all enriched uranium from Iranian territory,” the source said. “He will definitely not sign the final agreement unless these conditions are met.”

Previously, Trump said that the U.S. and Iran have “mostly completed” negotiations on a memorandum of understanding (MOU) concerning a peace agreement, which would reopen the Strait of Hormuz. However, Iran insists that control over this vital shipping route will remain under their authority.
