Trump Cancels Attack on Iran Citing Agreement on Final Points

Donald Trump canceled the order to attack Iran on Thursday night, citing that both sides had successfully agreed on the final points in their agreement.

On 11 Jun 2026 GMT+7, U.S. President Donald Trump posted a new message on Truth Social announcing he had canceled the planned attack on Iran scheduled for Thursday night, which he had mentioned just hours earlier, explaining that both sides had agreed on the final points in their agreement.

"Given the fact that discussions with the Islamic Republic of Iran have been elevated to the highest levels of Iranian leadership and received approval, I, as President of the United States, have canceled the scheduled attack and bombing against Iran this evening," Trump's post stated.

He added, "The discussions and final points have been agreed upon by all involved parties, both in principle and in important details."

The U.S. president specified that the countries involved in approving this agreement include the United States, Israel, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar, Turkey, Pakistan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, and Egypt.

"The maritime blockade measures will remain fully in effect until this agreement process is completely finalized," Trump said. "The time and place for signing the agreement will be announced soon."

Meanwhile, sources close to the situation told CNN that Iran had sent its latest draft proposal to the U.S. through a Qatari intermediary earlier this week.

At the same time, U.S. officials maintained continuous communication with the intermediary, despite fierce back-and-forth attacks between the U.S. and Iran during the week. A Qatari delegation traveled to Tehran this week to participate in discussions on the agreement.
