Elon Musk has become the world's first person to have a net worth exceeding 1 trillion USD after SpaceX shares began trading on the Nasdaq stock market, with the company valued at over 2.2 trillion USD.
On 13 June 2026 GMT+7, Elon Musk, billionaire and founder of SpaceX, is set to make history as the first individual worldwide to have a net worth surpassing 1 trillion USD, or approximately 36 trillion Thai baht, following SpaceX's initial public listing on the U.S. stock market.
SpaceX raised 75 billion USD, about 2.75 trillion Thai baht, through its initial public offering (IPO), setting a new record for the highest fundraising in history, surpassing Saudi Aramco's 25.6 billion USD in 2019. Although the stock was priced at 135 USD per share, it reportedly opened on the Nasdaq at 150 USD per share due to strong investor demand. This values SpaceX at around 2.2 trillion USD, while Musk, who owns over 80% of the company, sees his net worth rise past the 1 trillion USD milestone for the first time.
SpaceX is a space technology company that develops rockets and space transportation systems for NASA, owns the Starlink satellite internet service, and is linked to Musk's artificial intelligence (AI) business ventures.
