Prince George of England to Attend Eton College Following Father Prince Williams Path

Kensington Palace confirms that Prince George, the eldest son of Prince William, will enroll at Eton College this September, following his father's footsteps amid speculation about the education of the second heir to the British throne.

On 17 June 2026, Kensington Palace in England announced that 12-year-old Prince George, eldest son of Prince William, Prince of Wales, and Catherine, Princess of Wales, will begin his studies at Eton College starting this September.

Previously, there was widespread speculation regarding Prince George's secondary education, with some believing he might attend Marlborough College, his mother Princess Catherine's alma mater. However, the palace confirmed that Prince George will follow his father's path by attending Eton College, a prestigious all-boys boarding school in England.

Currently, Prince George studies at Lambrook School in Berkshire alongside his 11-year-old sister Princess Charlotte and 8-year-old brother Prince Louis. The school is located not far from the family's residence in Windsor, west of London.

Eton College was founded in 1440 by King Henry VI and is renowned as an institution that has produced many UK national leaders. Notable alumni include former prime ministers Robert Walpole, David Cameron, and Boris Johnson. Besides Prince William, Prince Harry and Earl Charles Spencer, Princess Diana's brother, also attended. The school maintains its distinctive traditional uniform, featuring a black tailcoat, stiff white collar, and striped trousers.
