Hungarian Police Arrest 30-Year-Old Man for Collecting Human Body Parts from Cemeteries and Hospitals, Claiming to Use Them for Cooking

Hungarian police arrested a 30-year-old man for secretly collecting human body parts from abandoned cemeteries and hospitals. During the search, numerous human remains were found, including skulls, brains, hearts, and other organs.

The Hungarian National Investigation Office revealed that in this gruesome case, the 30-year-old man secretly amassed human organs stolen from various cemeteries and hospitals. He is charged with illegal use of human organs.

Officials stated that during the search of his residence, they found numerous body parts, including preserved human faces, facial skin, bones packed in suitcases, whole lower legs, brains, hands, heads, several skulls, and hearts preserved in glass jars.

Police further disclosed they are currently verifying whether the hearts found belong to humans or animals, while all other seized parts will be examined in detail by forensic specialists.

During interrogation, the suspect said he had a special interest in human body parts and had previously cooked and eaten some of them in various forms.

Police noted that the man was fascinated by anatomy and pathology and enjoyed dissecting animals as a hobby.

Authorities believe he obtained some human parts through his work in hospitals, while others came from grave robbing at abandoned cemeteries in both Hungary and Slovakia.

Reports indicate this arrest followed investigations into multiple cemetery and burial site break-ins, with many graves, crypts, and underground cemeteries reported to have been forcibly opened.

The search of the suspect’s home and storage areas shocked investigators, resembling scenes from a horror movie. They discovered over 100 human skulls, numerous bones, mummified hands and feet, two decaying human torsos, and many other skeletal parts.

Police accused the suspect of targeting cemeteries, crypts, and underground burial chambers, illegally entering them to remove body parts. He was caught returning to his car carrying burglary tools, including a crowbar found in his possession.

He currently faces multiple charges, including corpse desecration, receiving stolen property, trespassing, damaging burial sites, destroying socially respected objects, theft, and other offenses.

Authorities are now urgently examining all human remains and investigating whether any victims or their families have been affected by the illegal removal of bodies from burial sites.
