
Samdech Hun Sen arrived in Beijing to begin a three-day official visit to China at the invitation of the Chinese Communist Party, aiming to elevate strategic cooperation and continue strengthening the close ties between the two nations.
On 26 June 2026 GMT+7, Hun Sen, President of the Cambodian Senate and Chairman of the Cambodian People's Party, along with a senior delegation, arrived in Beijing, China, to commence a three-day official visit at the invitation of the Chinese Communist Party.
The Cambodian delegation was welcomed at the airport by Liu Haixing, Minister of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party; Chen Zhou, Deputy Minister of the International Department; as well as Sung Rachchhavi, Cambodia’s Ambassador to China, and senior officials from both countries.
Earlier, the Cambodian government stated that this visit reflects the commitment of Cambodia and China to deepen their close relationship, promote comprehensive strategic cooperation, and jointly build a Cambodia-China community with a shared future under all circumstances. This aims to advance bilateral relations to a higher level. Furthermore, China remains one of Cambodia’s largest economic partners and investors, continuously supporting numerous infrastructure and development projects.
