A severe explosion caused by a gas leak occurred in Ohio, USA, destroying and damaging several homes. Two people were injured as authorities rushed to investigate the cause of the blast.
Earl Wilson, Fire Chief of Twinsburg, revealed that only two people were injured, both with minor wounds, which is remarkable given the explosion’s force. Firefighters and utility company personnel remain on site to assess the damage and continue the investigation.
Reports indicate that the damage was not confined to the immediate blast area but spread to several nearby streets, with some locations affected as far as two blocks away, demonstrating the tremendous power of the explosion.
The Fire Chief stated that the Ohio Fire Department has taken over the investigation to determine the true cause of the explosion. Although the main cause was a gas leak, the exact trigger remains unclear, meaning the investigation could take a significant amount of time. Fortunately, there were no fatalities and fewer injuries than many had anticipated.
