Aramco Helicopter Crash Kills 14 in Saudi Arabias Eastern Coastal City

A helicopter operated by Aramco, the Saudi Arabian oil giant, crashed in an eastern coastal city, resulting in at least 14 deaths.

Saudi Arabian news agencies reported that an Aramco helicopter crashed on Sunday, 28 June 2024 GMT+7, in Ras Tanura, an eastern coastal city, causing 14 fatalities.

The incident occurred at approximately 06:00 local time. No further details have been released yet. Saudi media stated that relevant authorities have begun a full investigation. Aramco has not commented on the matter.

Saudi Arabia, the world's largest oil exporter, is rushing to transport goods after Middle Eastern producers increased oil and natural gas production and exports ahead of a temporary agreement between the U.S. and Iran to end the conflict.

Aramco had just resumed crude oil loading operations on Friday at the Ras Tanura terminal in the Persian Gulf after nearly four months of suspension caused by the Middle East conflict.
