Donald Trump posted a message confirming that US and Iranian officials will meet this Tuesday after both sides declared a halt to several days of attacks and returned to the negotiating table.
On Monday, 29 June 2026, Donald Trump, President of the United States, posted on Truth Social that the US will participate in a meeting with Iran in Doha, Qatar, on Tuesday (30 June), amid renewed tensions following days of reciprocal attacks between Washington and Tehran.
"Iran has requested that a meeting be held, which will take place tomorrow in Doha!" Trump's post stated.
Trump's latest move comes after the US and Iran exchanged attacks for four days until the past weekend, before US officials revealed on Monday that both sides agreed to reduce tensions "for now," with negotiations continuing as planned.
However, the Iranian side has not confirmed whether the talks Trump mentioned will actually take place. Previously, Iran’s chief negotiator, Qasem Garibabadi, told the media that there is no scheduled agenda for the technical working group meetings this week.
