
Several international media outlets have reported a severe fire at a nightclub in Bangkok, Thailand, which has resulted in at least 27 deaths and numerous injuries.
Multiple foreign news agencies, including CNN and BBC, reported a major fire that engulfed a nightclub in Bangkok around midnight Sunday into Monday, 13 July 2026 local time, causing at least 27 fatalities.
According to Thairath, a leading Thai news outlet, the nightclub involved is called "Beer Factory at Lat Phrao," near Lat Phrao Soi 1, with 9 male and 18 female victims.
Rescue officials said they were alerted to the fire around midnight. Video footage shared online by the first responding paramedics showed large flames bursting from the nightclub’s front door located in the northern part of Thailand’s capital as people desperately fled to survive.
Thailand’s Prime Minister, Anutin Charnvirakul, told reporters at the scene that 27 people have died and several others were hospitalized. He added that the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Officials stated firefighters took about 30 minutes to bring the blaze under control. Post-fire photos revealed charred tables and chairs reduced to stumps, along with severe structural damage inside the nightclub.
