Reports indicate that the heatwave affecting multiple regions of Japan has already resulted in one death, while emergency services continue to manage a steadily increasing number of patients.
A spokesperson for the Tokyo Fire Department stated that the number of hospital admissions is the highest since data collection started. They urged the public to be cautious of heat hazards by drinking sufficient water, avoiding prolonged outdoor exposure, and using air conditioning to prevent heat-related illness.
Japan is currently experiencing severe heatwaves across many areas.
