American Singer D4vd to Face Murder Trial for 14-Year-Old Girls Death

D4vd, also known as David, a famous American singer, has been ordered by the court to stand trial for the murder of a 14-year-old girl after her body was found in his car last year.

On Monday, 27 Jul 2026 GMT+7, a U.S. judge denied a motion and ruled that "D4vd" (David), an American music artist, must face trial for the murder of a 14-year-old girl whose body was found inside his vehicle.

This decision came after a five-day preliminary hearing during which Los Angeles prosecutors questioned 12 witnesses and presented photographic evidence, with the family of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez watching in the courtroom.

The famous singer, legally named David Anthony Burke, is accused of murdering the teenage girl whose body was found last September inside a Tesla registered in his name. David, now 21, denies all charges, including murder and sexual abuse.

David's official arraignment and hearing are scheduled for 31 August, with the trial set to begin within 90 days thereafter.

Prosecutors allege that David stabbed the girl with a sharp object and then concealed her body after sexually abusing her for several years. They say the murder was motivated by the victim’s threat to expose his relationship with a minor, which would instantly ruin his rising singing career.

Evidence read in court on Monday revealed threatening messages Celeste sent to David on 22 Apr 2025 GMT+7, triggered by David’s involvement with another underage girl.

"I swear to God I will kill you," one profane message from the victim stated, followed by threats to strangle him and to lie to her father about David. "I will destroy your career and life; I will ruin everything," another message said.

Prosecutors said the next day, Hernandez took an Uber to David’s Hollywood home, where he stabbed her immediately upon her arrival.
