Foreign Ministry Reports 4 Thai Workers Safe and 2 Recovering After Explosion in Israel

The Foreign Ministry spokesperson revealed that the Ambassador in Tel Aviv has visited six Thai workers who were injured by an old explosion in Israel. Two are recovering after surgery, while the other four are now in stable condition.

According to reports received by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this morning (18 August 2026), Thai workers in Israel were injured by an unexploded device in the city of Metula, located in northern Israel.

Ms. Jaitai Uppakarnitikaset, Director-General of the Information Department and Foreign Ministry spokesperson, stated that the Embassy in Tel Aviv reported six Thai workers were injured in the explosion and are receiving treatment at Ziv Medical Center in the city of Safed.

Two of the injured are in serious condition and have undergone surgery; they are currently recovering. The others sustained minor injuries and are now stable.

The Ambassador in Tel Aviv has personally visited all the injured workers to provide assistance and monitor their recovery. The embassy is closely coordinating with the hospital and relevant agencies, including following up on compensation and support for the workers.
