An expert revealed that Prince William still feels "betrayed" by Prince Harry's disclosures about the royal family, viewing the relationship between the two brothers as tense and anticipating a major drama next year.
On 20 August 2026 GMT+7, the British tabloid news website The Mirror reported that Prince William, the Prince of Wales, still harbors anger toward his younger brother, Prince Harry, after Harry revealed insider stories about the British royal family in his memoir, Spare, which caused significant upheaval upon its release.
Jenny Bond, a former royal correspondent and British royal expert, said Prince William feels betrayed by Prince Harry, and that expecting family members to forgive and forget may be difficult. Meanwhile, reports indicate that Prince Harry and his wife Meghan, along with their family, are planning to relocate from the United States back to the United Kingdom later this month.
Bond noted that the relationship between the brothers has been strained for many years, with reports stating they have not spoken since Queen Elizabeth II's funeral in September 2022 GMT+7. There are no clear signs yet that reconciliation will occur soon. While Prince Harry's youthful anger has largely subsided, the lingering resentment in Prince William's heart—who is known to be quite resolute—may make it difficult to resolve.
The brothers' relationship may again attract attention in 2027 GMT+7, when multiple memorial events will be held to mark the 30th anniversary of Princess Diana's death, their mother. It remains unclear whether Prince William and Prince Harry will attend together and appear side by side to pay tribute to their mother.
